Once I pass the class, can I begin to work in a dental office?
No, you have to apply to become a registered dental assistant and complete a mandatory short course approved by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE). You must also pass exams in Radiology, Jurisprudence and Infection Control given by the TSBDE. Is a dental assisting job a good job for a working mom?
Yes, there are both full-time and part-time opportunities available to you.

Dental assistants often further their training by going back to school to pursue careers as hygienists and dentists.
